Traits

Traits are a mechanical way of representing the core character traits which drive a character. Traits work in a simple way, with a name and a fulfillment condition, indicating when a character acts in alignment with one of their chosen traits.

 

When a character fulfills one of their traits, they regain 1 point of Willpower. a single trait can only restore Willpower in this way once per hour.

Fulfillment Condition

Character forgives someone for harming them.

Character gives of themself to help someone physically or emotionally

Character does something despite being afraid

Character maintains belief regardless of outside influence.

Character withstands pressure to change from something they are attempting to do

Character endeavors to ensure an equitable outcome.

Character waits for the optimum time to act in the face of influence to act prematurely.

Character causes harm to a rival

Character takes actions in excess of the need to assert a boundary.

Character overindulges in something they find personally pleasurable

Character acquires something at the expense of someone else

Character maintains their personal self image at the expense of others

Character tells a lie for no reason

Character refuses to tell a lie when it would benefit them

Character refuses to act when harm is probable due to fear of said harm

Character takes time to look their best in the face of influence otherwise.

Character takes action without taking sufficient time to decide the wisdom of the action

Character exerts their will over another

Says what they believe regardless of the situation
