Weapon Traits

Below is a description of all of the various traits that a weapon may possess. 

  • Bow: This Weapon must be wielded in 2 hands in order to make attacks with it.

  • Large: When this weapon is wielded in one hand, Character has Disadvantage on Attack rolls made using it.

  • Finesse: Character may use their Agility Modifier instead of their Strength Modifier for the purposes of determining their Offence with this melee weapon.

  • Light: If a Character is using Light weapons while using multiple weapons they reduce the penalty for preparing multiple attacks by 10 per Light weapon, to a maximum of 20.

  • Loading X: A Loading weapon must be loaded before making an attack with it. This takes a number of AP equal to X. 

  • Firearm: If an Attack roll with this Weapon is a Fumble, the weapon backfires, and gains the Broken condition.

  • Double: This weapon’s construction is such that its possible to prepare attacks with both ends of this weapon at once. When a Character does this, it counts as one instance of a Light Weapon.

  • Shield X: Increase your Armor by X. In addition, as a Reaction to taking damage, you may roll damage for this weapon and subtract it from the damage you took.

  • Flexible: Attacks with this weapon ignore the armor bonus of Shields and cannot be effected by Shield Block

  • Improved Critical: When an attack roll is made with this weapon, you may roll out on 91 - 100 instead of 96 - 100. This extra rollout range does not grant Fate Points on roll out.

  • Greater Critical: When an attack roll is made with this weapon, you may roll out on 86 - 100 instead of 96 - 100. This extra rollout range does not grant Fate Points on roll out.

Armor

Below the rules of Armor are detailed

Characters can only mechanically benefit from 1 Body Armor and 1 Helm at a time. 

Armor Value: The amount by which the Armor Value of the character wearing the armor increases

Cost: The amount of currency that the armor costs.
Weight: the weight of the armor in pounds.
Skill Penalty: the Penalty inflicted to Acrobatics, Stealth, Sleight of Hand while the armor is worn.
